SHOW LOW — Community members filled the walkways in front of Northland Pioneer College’s new Skills Center at the White Mountain Campus on Oct. 17, coming together to mark the official opening of a cutting-edge, 28,820-square-foot facility. The center houses three major programs: energy and industrial technology, welding, and automotive.

NPC President Chato Hazelbaker addressed the crowd, expressing gratitude to the people and the communities for their contributions and ongoing support in the endeavor to cultivate a skilled workforce capable of harnessing the latest technological advancements. “I am happy to say that in the first 26 months of being president, I was able to accomplish one thing that I promised to do,” he said.
