Green Lake’s historic Thrasher Opera House will host an exhibit through Dec. 31 featuring the work of Wisconsin-based artist Mikaela Nummerdor.
This exhibit may be viewed Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For after-hour visits, call 920-294-4279 to schedule a time.
Nummerdor graduated with her bachelor of fine arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2018. Since then, she has exhibited her work in various shows across the Midwest and has been featured in several publications. This exhibition marks her first solo show, a milestone in her artistic adventure.
Drawing inspiration primarily from nature, Nummerdor approaches her subjects through an abstract lens. Her process-driven work emphasizes the formal qualities of art, enabling her to explore the beauty and complexity of the natural world. Influenced by Post-Impressionism, Nummerdor seeks to capture the ephemeral essence of her surroundings, inviting viewers to experience a new perspective on familiar landscapes.
Thrasher Opera House’s mission is to promote the arts and the power of live performance, provide a community gathering place and preserve the historic opera house.
