Today’s Myth: Switching to alternative sweeteners will lead to weight loss.

Many consumers perceive alternative sweeteners as calorie-free food additives that mimic the sweet taste of sugar. However, they are so intensely sweet that it takes a much smaller amount to sweeten products, therefore contributing almost no calories to foods and beverages.
