ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The Northwest Syria Nutrition Cluster would like to acknowledge all persons who took part in the
Northwest Syria (Aleppo and Idleb governorates) Nutrition Survey 2023. special gratitude goes to all
the parties who were directly involved in the implementation of the survey for their cooperation and
technical, administrative, and logistical support to ensure a successful implementation of the two
surveys.

The cluster pays special gratitude to all parties who were directly involved for their co-operation and
support from the survey planning phase to completion. Special gratitude and thanks to the following:

• The Nutrition cluster information and assessment technical working group in Gaziantep for
  planning and executing the surveys.

• UNICEF for the funding of the SMART survey

• Save the Children for co-funding of the SMART Survey

• PAC – Turkey for the financial, logistical, and administrative facilitation to conduct the
  SMART surveys.

• SMART survey managers trained in July 2023 for their dedication in developing the protocol,
  enumerator training and on the field supervision as well as the daily review and feedback to the
  survey teams.

• SMART Team at Action Against Hunger Canada for technical leadership of the survey and
  training of the SMART survey managers.

• UNICEF and cluster team for their technical inputs during the entire survey process.

• Nutrition cluster Partners in Northwest Syria for allowing their technical staff to be off their
  routine duties and commit time for the entire survey process.

• UN OCHA for providing critical demographic information for the surveys planning.

• To all survey personnel at every stage of survey implementation for their hard work during
  households listing and data collection thus ensuring quality data

• To the survey participants for giving the consent to respond to the survey questions and giving
  honest responses. Specifically, all mothers and children are appreciated for their willingness to
  be included in the survey.
