Oklahoma State football hires director of sports nutrition


Adding to the list offseason staff changes, the Oklahoma State football program has made another hire. 

Ann Weidmayer has been named the program’s director of sports nutrition, the program announced Monday. 

Weidmayer most recently served with Oklahoma State’s human performance and nutrition research institute. Prior to that role, she was a performance dietitian at IMG Academy in Florida. 

“We are excited to have Ann join our sports performance team here at Oklahoma State,” OSU assistant athletic director for athlete performance Rob Glass said in a press release. “She brings a high level of knowledge and a wide range of experience. Her addition to our staff will be greatly benefit OSU’s student-athletes.”

The Michigan native has athletics experience working with Illinois State, the Indianapolis Colts and East Carolina in addition to a few stops in the medical field. In those roles, she worked with athletes from several different sports.

Weidmayer received a bachelor of science in dietetics and clinical nutrition services while graduating Summa Cum Laude from Oklahoma State in 2021. She then earned a master of science in dietetics and clinical nutrition services from Illinois State. 

She is a registered dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration, a Certified Personal Trainer by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, a member of the American Sports and Performance Dietitians Association and part of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She also holds certifications from American Red Cross.
