MIDLAND ― Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center continues its 2024-25 Clearview Federal Credit UnionSubscription Series, Raise Your Voice!!, with Oliver! Jr. in the MainStage Theater Nov. 15-17 and22-24.
The ninth installment in the Jr. musical series, Oliver! Jr. is a show for audiences of all ages. Thestreets of Victorian England come to life as Oliver, a malnourished orphan in a workhouse, becomes theneglected apprentice of an undertaker. Oliver escapes to London and finds acceptance amongst a groupof petty thieves and pickpockets. This 60-minute junior adaptation of the classic Charles Dickens noveland award-winning musical springs to life with some of the most memorable characters and songs toever grace the stage.
In conjunction with Oliver! Jr. and with the Thanksgiving holiday just weeks away, Lincoln ParkPerforming Arts Center is partnering with KDKA-TV to support its annual Turkey Fund and help make adifference in the community.
Patrons attending Oliver! Jr. are invited to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank as a part of the Fill A Bowl Campaign. The KDKA-TV Turkey Fund has provided Thanksgiving dinners for more than a million neighbors in need for the past 43 years.
All contributions by Lincoln Park patrons as well as monetary donations made through station partner PNC Bank will go directly to helping people throughout the KDKA-TV viewing area in partnership with Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and its network of agencies, partners, and programs, helping to ensure that everyone has enough to eat this holiday season.
