The famous singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo has announced the official release date for her highly anticipated second record, Guts. Fans can expect Geffen Records to release the record on September 8.

In a statement, Rodrigo talked about how she sees the upcoming record and how its main theme is about dealing with the difficulties of personal growth. She said, “For me, this album is about growing pains and trying to figure out who I am at this point in my life. I feel like I grew 10 years between the ages of 18 and 20—it was such an intense period of awkwardness and change. I think that’s all just a natural part of growth, and hopefully the album reflects that.”

Rodrigo worked with producer Daniel Nigro again on Guts. Nigro worked with Rodrigo on her first record, Sour, which was a big hit.
