Olivia Wilde, Jason Sudeikis Defeat Ex-Nanny’s ‘Wrongful Termination’

Ericka Genaro, their former nanny, dropped her case against Olivia Wilde and her ex-boyfriend, Jason Sudeikis. This was a big win for Olivia and Jason.

A judge has decided to send the case to arbitration, which Ron Zambrano, Genaro’s lawyer, told Daily Mail is a change in the way the case is being handled in court.

Even though Zambrano didn’t agree with the court’s ruling, he made it clear that the change to arbitration doesn’t mean the end of the lawsuit. Instead, it just changes where the case will be heard in court.

Zambrano said, “It is what it is and now we’ll litigate it in arbitration and the case goes on. This does not terminate the lawsuit.”

“It merely changes the venue.” He went on to say that despite the change, Genaro’s law team is ready to move forward and is sure of their position.

Zambrano said, “As to the underlying facts, we’ve got text messages and testimony that she was driven to quit, then was summarily fired anyway. We feel extremely confident in the case so instead of taking this to trial, we’ll handle it in arbitration and we’re ready to move forward.”

This news comes a half year after Genaro’s claims were made public in legal papers. She said that Wilde and Sudeikis fired her when she asked for medical leave.

Her claim, which was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, said that her doctor had given her a three-day medical leave in 2021 to help her deal with the stress of the public breakup.

Genaro said that Sudeikis fired her right away after she told him what she knew.

The couple is in the middle of a legal fight, and they strongly disagree with the accusations made against them.

In his case, Genaro wants back pay, punitive damages, and his attorney fees to be paid back.
