Everyone experiences moments of low confidence sometimes–even global icons like Zendaya.
In a new ad from fast-growing sportswear brand On, Zendaya gives herself a pep talk in the mirror. “You can do anything,” she says. “You can be anyone.”
It turns out the task at hand is more interstellar than your everyday challenge. After starring in hits like Euphoria and Challengers, Zendaya’s next venture takes her to space.
On created a fictional film trailer set in the cosmos for the latest chapter of its collaboration with Zendaya, who signed on as a brand ambassador last year.
“Zone Dreamers” is the pair’s most ambitious campaign to date, according to On. The spot features Zendaya as the protagonist on a mission through space, supported by a tight-knit crew. Their exploits through the universe will push their limits.
The moral of this story? Confidence doesn’t just come from within, but also from the people in your squad.
On teamed up with visual artist Nadia Lee Cohen to creatively direct the film, drawing on retro-futurism, performance art, and 1970s sci-fi influences. Fashion stylist Law Roach and jewelry designer Chris Habana designed the custom spacesuits and accessories worn by the cast.
The campaign promotes two new products: the Cloudzone sneaker and the Studio Knit Bodysuit, both of which continue On’s push into the lifestyle space.
“Working with Zendaya, alongside Nadia Lee Cohen and Law Roach, allowed us to push the limits of creative storytelling,” Alex Griffin, chief marketing officer at On, said in a statement. “We built a world that feels surreal yet deeply human–where movement becomes a metaphor for confidence, connection, and creative possibility.”
Winning over Gen Z
Zendaya’s multiyear deal with the Swiss sportswear company spans product development, global promotion, and creative campaigns. Her first two On ads were a choreographed dance and a face-off with tennis champion Roger Federer, an early investor and partner of the brand.
The buzzy collaboration with Zendaya continues On’s quest to target Gen Z consumers.
