A person was arrested in Golden Valley Friday evening after reports of a car theft and shots fired.

Reno Police responded to reports of a stolen car on Golden Valley Road right off the 395 exit around 4:45 Friday evening.

They had also gotten reports that suspects had fired shots, according to an RPD spokesperson.

Police located and detained two suspects. One was arrested on various felony charges, the other was let go.

Reno Police say this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
