The Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department is investigating a fiery crash that claimed the life of one person Wednesday morning.Emergency crews were called to the southbound lanes of Bruce R. Watkins Drive/U.S. Highway 71 around 10:18 a.m. to investigate a fatal wreck during which a vehicle struck a tree.A spokesperson for the Kansas City, Missouri, Fire Department said when crews arrived, the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames. The occupant of the car did not survive.Police are taking over the investigation from the fire department. No additional details are available at this time.
