Open call for Redwood Parks Artist in Residence


CRESCENT CITY, Calif.– Do you love nature? Do you love making art? The Redwood National and State Parks is announcing the opening of a submission window to be the artist-in-residence, inviting artists of all mediums to create art while being immersed in the redwood forest.

The submission window will be open from May 15-20 or until 25 applications have been completed and submitted.

The residency offers artists the opportunity to live and work within the park from August to September 15. Granting them access to the parks ecosystems and cultural heritage sites as an inspiration for their work.

Selected artists will receive a stipend of up to $5,000 to assist with travel, materials and other logistical needs.

As a part of the program, the artist will hold at least one public presentation of their art and donate one artwork to the Redwood Parks Conservancy.

The selected artist will be announced June 15, 2025.
