A new report indicates Texas claims five of the country’s best restaurants, and Austin is home to all of them.
OpenTable, an online restaurant reservation platform, recently released its annual Top 100 Restaurants list, which is built from more than 12 million verified diner reviews and several metrics across the U.S. Restaurants are also rated on percentage of reservations made in advance and five-star reviews, according to OpenTable.

Clark’s Oyster Bar
Clark’s Austin opened in the Old West Austin neighborhood in 2012 and features freshly shucked oysters, daily fish specials, caviar and blini and much more. The restaurant also has locations in Houston and Aspen, Colo.
The restaurant is open for lunch Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and brunch Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Happy Hour is Monday through Friday 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and dinner is available daily from 5 p.m. to “late,” according to its website.
Clark’s Austin accepts walk-ins and reservations at its 1200 W. 6th St. location. Meals cost about $50 and more, and the restaurant has a 4.9-star average on OpenTable’s website.

J. Carver’s Oyster Bar & Chophouse
J Carver’s is located at 509 Rio Grande St. and offers a spate of cuisines, including an oyster bar, an open wood fire grill, a variety of steaks and a selection of wines, according to its website.
The restaurant is open daily from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. For parties of five or more people, the restaurant requires a deposit of $25 per person to deter reservation cancelations.
Meals start at about $50, according to OpenTable. The restaurant has a 4.9-star average on the platform’s website.
Jeffrey’s
French American restaurant Jeffrey’s is open daily from 4:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. and has menus for dinner, the bar, beverages, deserts and wines.
The restaurant, located at 1204 West Lynn St., offers 25% off bar food and wines by the glass in its lounge on Mondays and 50% off bottles of wine on Sunday nights. Meals cost about $50 and more, and Jeffrey’s has a 4.9-star average on OpenTable.

Red Ash Italia
The cuisine at Red Ash Italia is inspired by “the culinary traditions of Northern and Southern Italy” and features food like handmade pastas, seafood, locally sourced meats and seasonal vegetables, according to the restaurant’s website. The restaurant also features wines from a variety of countries and states.
The restaurant is located at 303 Colorado St., though it is currently closed temporarily due to duct work.
Meals start at $50 and over. Red Ash Italia has a 4.8-star average on OpenTable.
Uchi Austin
Uchi’s food is grounded in non-traditional Japanese cuisine, along with sushi and omakase. The restaurant, located at 801 S. Lamar Blvd., is open 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
