When Marsha Roberts invited me to the launch of her long-awaited art project, “The Doll for All,” I knew I had to join the celebration. I had never heard of the venue, ClearStory Arts, located on Holtzclaw Avenue.
According to ClearStory Arts, this incredible arts space came into being after Chattanooga Workspace, a longtime home to local artists, closed in 2020. Artists came together with a vision for an inclusive community that allows for growth, demonstration and creation of artists’ work. Together they worked to create this space with 40 affordable studios, an impressive gallery and a community workspace area. The public has the opportunity to visit, view, learn and acquire work by the ClearStory artists.
The first steps into the lobby was an immediate immersion into the multi-faceted artistry of ClearStory.
