Orchestra to host annual Young Artist Competition


The Tehachapi Symphony Orchestra is proud to announce that it is now accepting applications for the 2025 Young Artist Competition.

The competition is open to Kern County residents ages 14-22 who play a regular orchestra instrument and can perform a standard orchestral work such as a concerto. The winner of the competition will be awarded a $500 scholarship and the opportunity to perform their piece with the TSO.

Applications are due by Jan. 15. Finalists will perform before a panel of judges on Saturday, Feb. 8, and the winner will perform at the TSO’s May concert. To learn more or to fill out the application form, please visit tehachapiorchestra.com.
