
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State University is warning students and Corvallis residents not to tamper with any food delivery robots due to a bomb threat.
At about 12:20 p.m. on October 24, OSU issued an urgent alert saying there had been a bomb threat related to the Starship food delivery robots that can be seen around campus. OSU advised people not to open the robots, and to avoid them until further notice. OSU said its Public Safety division is responding to the threat.
At about 1 p.m., OSU said safety officials were remotely isolating the robots in a safe location, and that the Department of Public Safety was continuing its investigation. Students and residents were asked to remain vigilant for suspicious activity.
