Out and About: Butterfly release raises epilepsy awareness

Gulf Coast Epilepsy Alliance held its third annual Butterfly Release on Oct. 8 at Wayne Johnson Center at Carbide Park in La Marque.

The event helped raise awareness, unity and solidarity for epilepsy. With shades of purple, the butterfly represents freedom of epilepsy for patients, survivors and supporters of the brain disease that affects people of all ages and ethnicities.
