On June 30, a news site called Sports Seoul said that she is dating an entrepreneur who is ten years older than she is. The story also said they had been together for over five years.

On the day of the report, Hwasa made an epic entrance to PSY’s show, where she signed a contract with P Nation on the spot and then performed her hit solo song “Maria.”
