BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Boston University and Navy split this week’s Patriot League Tennis awards as the League announced the winners on Tuesday.
Boston University senior Victoria Carlsten received women’s player of the week as she went 4-0 in singles and doubles play as the team took down both Binghamton and Bucknell, 7-0.
Navy sophomore Herrick Legaspi went 2-0 on Saturday as the team defeated St. Francis, 5-2, to be named men’s player of the week.
BU sophomore Corey Craig, Bucknell junior Whitney King and Navy junior Emily Tannenbaum earned honorable mentions.
Men’s Player of the Week
Herrick Legaspi, Navy, So., Sacramento, Calif.
* Legaspi picked up wins in singles and doubles action in the team’s 5-2 win over St. Francis on Saturday.
* He teamed up with Nathan Nguyen for a 6-2 victory against St. Francis’ Alan Gonzalez and Marc Fuste at No. 1 doubles.
* Legaspi then won the first singles match to finish (6-1, 6-1) versus Fuste.
Women’s Player of the Week
Victoria Carlsten, Boston University, Sr., Malmo, Sweden/Korrespondengymnasiet
* Carlsten went 4-0 in singles and doubles at line two as the team defeated both Binghamton and Bucknell, 7-0.
* In singles play, the senior defeated Bucknell’s Anna Lajos (6-2, 6-0) on court two and Binghamton’s Caterina Casadei (6-2, 6-0) on court one.
* Carlsten and teammate Nina Gulbransen recorded two wins in doubles play, including a 6-3 win over Binghamton’s Abby Ackroyd and Nitya Vyas and a 6-1 win over Bucknell’s Anna Lajos and Caroline Marcus.

Corey Craig, Boston University, So., Coconut Creek, Fla./Monarch
* Craig helped the Terriers beat Merrimack, 5-2, with wins at No. 1 singles and No. 3 doubles.
* The sophomore recorded a court-one singles win over Merrimack’s Aryaan Bhatia (6-1, 7-5). Craig and teammate Jakob Esterowitz earned a 6-3 win on court three versus Valentin Riveros and Henrik Lindeman.
Whitney King, Bucknell, Jr., Sarasota, Fla./IMG Academy
* King went 2-0 in doubles on court one and 1-1 in singles on court one against Boston University and Binghamton.
* Along with teammate Abby Platt, she defeated Boston’s No. 1 doubles team 6-4. She holds a 7-0 record in doubles against League opponents since the start of last season.
* King also posted a 6-1, 6-0 singles win against Loren Cuomo in the team’s 7-0 win over Binghamton.
Emily Tannenbaum, Navy, Jr., Commack, N.Y./Commack
* Tannenbaum opened the spring with a pair of dominant performances in Navy’s 7-0 win over Saint Francis, partnering with Stella Ribaudo for a 6-1 doubles victory over SFU’s top pairing before pulling off a 6-4, 6-2 singles win against the Red Flash’s No. 1 player, Diana Zuba.
