SMYRNA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A portion of S. Cobb Drive in Smyrna is closed Friday morning as police investigate a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.

The Smyrna Police Department says the crash happened on S. Cobb Drive at Cooperlake Road and resulted in serious injuries.

The pedestrian and the driver were taken to the hospital.

Police have several lanes blocked as they investigate. They say the road should be cleared and back opened by 9 a.m.
