
NORTH SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WPRI) — An investigation is underway after a pedestrian was hit by a car in North Smithfield Monday evening, according to police.
The incident happened on Route 146 South near Sayles Hill Road just after 7 p.m.
The severity of the pedestrian’s injuries is unknown at this time.
The roadway was closed for roughly an hour as officers investigated. It’s unclear if the driver will be facing any charges.
