Mars Petcare US issued a recall for 315 bags of PEDIGREE® Adult Complete Nutrition Grilled Steak & Vegetable Flavor Dry Dog Food over worries the product may have been contaminated with loose metal pieces.
The recall involves PEDIGREE® Adult Complete Nutrition Grilled Steak & Vegetable Flavor Dry Dog Food in 44 lb. bags with a lot code of 410B2TXT02 and best by date of March 4, 2025, and sold by Walmart in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.
Mars Petcare advised consumers to stop using the product and to monitor the behavior of pets who may have consumed the recalled product and to contact a veterinarian “in the event of any concerns.”
“The potential presence of loose metal pieces in the bag could pose a health hazard to pets,” the Pedigree dog food recall says.
No pet injuries or illnesses connected to Pedigree dog food recall
Mars Petcare said there have been no reports of pet injury or illness connected to the recall and that no other Pedigree or Mars Petcare products are affected or being recalled.
