Pelham man dies in I-65 multi-car crash

CULLMAN COUNTY–A multi-vehicle crash claimed the life of a Pelham man and injured another Wednesday morning approximately two miles south of Cullman along I-65, according to ALEA Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey.

At approximately 4:53 a.m. on March 13, a 2023 Ram van driven by Methuselah J. Kadigi, 53, struck a 2017 Volvo tractor-trailer driven by Deschan L. Davis, 25, of Hueytown.

Kadigi’s van was then struck by a 2006 Toyota Camry driven by Tyler B. Moore, 35, of Double Springs.

Prior to impact, the Volvo overturned across the roadway and struck two guardrails.

Kadigi was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Moore was injured and transported to Cullman Regional Medical Center (CRMC) for treatment. 

Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division will continue to investigate.
