Peus and Hofflander Wrap up Women’s Tennis ITA Fall Nationals

SAN DIEGO – Junior Lindsey Hofflander and sophomore Phoebe Peus finished up play at the ITA Fall Nationals in San Diego on Thursday.

The duo played against grad student Tanya Sasnouskaya and junior Sabina Zeynalova from Texas and fell 6-2, 6-3.

“Phoebe and Lindsey competed hard in their match against an excellent Texas team,” said Head Coach Lucie Schmidhauser. “They had some chances in both sets to make the score closer, but their opponents came up with some smart and disciplined shots when closing out games and sets, which is something our team needs to learn to do more consistently.”

“This tournament was a great experience for Phoebe and Lindsey as we continue to build a championship mindset for Brown Women’s Tennis. We bring back a lot of takeaways and areas of opportunity for our training and competition.”

Brown finishes its fall season at the Harvard Invite on Friday through Sunday.

RESULTS
Sasnouskaya / Zeynalova (Texas) def. Peus / Hofflander (Brown) 6-2, 6-3
