Phillip Schofield seemed cool and at ease when he was seen in public with Vanessa Feltz and a smile on his face.

When they left the Little Bird restaurant in Chiswick, West London, they were seen by onlookers. Schofield helped his longtime friend get into her car and then walked away.

It’s the first time the 61-year-old former ITV star has been seen in public in the capital since his shocking resignation in May, when he said he had an affair with a much younger male coworker that was “unwise but not illegal.”

Schofield has become a bit of a hermit since he quit his job. He spends most of his time in Newquay, Cornwall, with his 87-year-old mother Pat. He said that he was afraid to go outside because he would be “spat on.”

But Schofield came out of hiding last night for the first time in more than a month to go to the popular small plates restaurant.

It comes after Schofield admitted that he had an affair with a much younger coworker and then lied about it. His friends said that he was now “done” with work.

One person told MailOnline, “Phillip has been really sad lately.” He doesn’t know how he’s going to get back to work.

For those who don’t know, his former co-host on This Morning, Holly Willoughby, has also given James Martin her backing after he was accused of bullying.

James, who is 51 years old, cursed 42 times as he yelled at his TV team in 2018 after he was shocked to learn he had cancer. An amazing recording of the moment has just been leaked.
