Pride has spread throughout Pittsburgh, bringing with it all-ages fun, drag shows, dance parties, live music, and other festivities. While the main Pittsburgh Pride parade has come and gone, neighborhoods throughout the city are still throwing community-specific events all month long.

These organizers behind these celebrations, which span from Millvale to Mt. Lebanon, have gone the extra step of creating Pride art that captures the spirit of each neighborhood. Pittsburgh City Paper decided to highlight some of the area’s best locally designed community Pride logos and merchandise, giving revelers alternatives to the rainbow-washed gear at big retailers.

Lebo Pride

Mt. Lebanon bears it all with this illustration by artist Logan Kuhlman, recipient of the 2024 Lebo Pride Scholarship. The Lebo Pride website describes its so-called Queer Bear as a representing “the resilience and creativity of the LGBTQ+ community, especially in times of adversity.” The Lebo Pride Queer Bear will appear on T-shirts and coloring sheets during the Sat., June 14 celebration at Mt. Lebanon Park (900 Cedar Blvd., Mt. Lebanon).

PRIDE Millvale

One of the longest-running community Pride events in the city adopted an adorable mascot for its 2025 festival. This sweet little trash panda, designed by Millvale artist Nora Peters, honors Millvale’s new Rainbow Raccoon Playground located between Meade Street and Evergreen Avenue. The design comes on T-shirts from Commonwealth Press, as well as stickers ($2 for small ones, $3 for bumper stickers). Wear it proudly on Sat., June 14, while attending PRIDE Millvale.

Forest Hills Pride

Forest Hills takes a more literal direction with this painterly piece by Becky Klink, who co-chairs the Forest Hills Pride committee with her wife. Klink will also be a part of the Forest Hills Pride artist fair under her vendor name, Sylvanijah (named after her two sons). Be sure to attend the second-annual Forest Hills on Sun., June 29 at Westinghouse Lodge (799 Barclay Ave., Forest Hills), where festivities include a drag show by Chi Chi de Vivre, a dance party, a soccer clinic, and a whole host of kid-friendly fun.

Bellevue Pride

Bellevue took a more magical approach with this enchanting mermaid design by Anna Tomiczek. Now available on T-shirts, the aquatic logo seems to herald the appearance of the Leviathan Sirens mermaid cosplayers at Bellevue Pride. Dive into Bellevue Pride on Sat., June 28, at Bayne Park (34 N. Balph Ave., Bellevue),  for a day of live music, artisans, food trucks, and, of course, mermaids.

MorningPride

The small but mighty neighborhood of Morningside sends a welcoming message with this special edition Pride T-shirt featuring a rainbow arching over the statement “Yinz Means All.” Now available for $20, the top makes a perfect accessory for MorningPride, taking place Sat., June 28, at the Bulldog Pub (1818 Morningside Ave., Morningside), where guests can enjoy live music, food, and more.
