A West Bloomfield woman was arrested Saturday after a chase on Interstate 75 took officers and the suspect across state lines, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said.
Monroe County Central dispatch received a report of a motorist driving erratically on I-75 near Nadeau Road at 9:07 p.m. Saturday. A white Honda Accord reported stolen was spotted heading south by Deputy Sheriff Doug Moore near Laplaisance Road. The suspect made a U-turn near Enterprise Drive and crashed into Deputy Sheriff Jacob Llewellyn’s patrol vehicle, according to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office. The suspect turned into the parking lot of a Meijer shopping center on the south side of Alexis Road, where officers stopped the vehicle and took her into custody.
The Honda recently was reported stolen out of Detroit.
The suspect was held at the Lucas County Jail. Charges were not released. The case remains under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and the Toledo Police Department.
