MONROE, La. (KNOE) – UPDATE: According to the Monroe Police Department, a shooting happened around 1:30 p.m. There was one victim with serious injuries, and one person is in custody.

One vehicle had bullet holes and was towed away from the scene.

MPD says they believe an altercation between the two ended in the shooting. Police say the victim was trying to leave in his vehicle when it was shot up.
