COLUMBUS, Ohio — A man accused of shooting and killing another man who was sitting in a car over the summer has turned himself in, according to the Columbus Division of Police.
Records from Franklin County Corrections Center show that 21-year-old Salad Jeylani is charged with one count each of murder and improper handling of a firearm.
The charges stem from the deadly shooting that happened in west Columbus on July 22.
Officers were called to the 1300 block of Crossing Green Lane, just off Hilliard Rome Road, following reports of a shooting.
At the scene, Columbus police located 20-year-old Osman Ali, who had been shot. Ali was taken to Doctors Hospital West where he later died.
