The Pon no Michi by Studio OLM has published a trailer for a Christmas special that will air on December 24th, Christmas Eve.
The original animation will air in January.5.
The trailer, directed by Tatsuma Minamikawa, began with the protagonists celebrating Christmas in good spirits, with Jingle Bells playing in the background.
Voice artists for the cast and crew members include Kaori Maeda as Nashiko Jippensha, Shion Wakayama as Izumi Tokutom, Iori Saeki as Pai Kawahigashi, Yui Kondo as Riche Hayashi, and Hibiku Yamamura as Haneru Emi.
Negi Haruba, who designed the huge Quintessential Quintuplets, developed the characters.
The animated project’s official website described the mah-jong-themed original as a “phenomenal visual with historic shines and temples, an aesthetic view set out in the heart of Onomichi City.”
The plot revolves around Nashiko Jippensha, who was evicted from her home, and her difficulties to find a new place to live.
She quickly focused her search and came up with the concept of transforming her father’s mahjong parlor into a location where she could have fun with her friends, eat snacks, drink tea, and play mahjong.
