Popular off-price home furnishings and décor store in Henrietta is moving

HomeGoods in Henrietta is moving from Jay Scutti Plaza, 1000 Hylan Drive, to the former Bed Bath & Beyond in Market Square plaza, 720 Jefferson Road.

A sign in the window at 720 Jefferson reads: “HomeGoods Coming Soon.”

A company spokesperson offered no further information on the relocation or its timing, but on Feb. 21, a work crew was on-site preparing the new space.

HomeGoods opened in Jay Scutti Plaza in 2017.

The Framingham, Massachusetts-based chain, which sells off-price home décor and furnishings, dinnerware, cookware and more, has more than 900 U.S. locations, including four others in the greater Rochester area: Greece, Webster, Victor and Canandaigua.

HomeGoods is relocating within the town of Henrietta.

Bed Bath & Beyond closed its remaining stores a year ago after filing for bankruptcy. It now operates online only.

Bob’s Discount Furniture also is opening a store in Market Square plaza — its first in western New York.

The Manchester, Connecticut-based chain will fill the vacancy created by the exit of buybuy BABY, which was owned by Bed Bath & Beyond.

Bob’s Discount Furniture is scheduled to open Aug. 30.
