Prairie County Fair features entertainment for all ages


 

An exciting mixture of favorite traditional events and new events are planned for fairgoers Aug. 1 through Aug. 4 at the Prairie County Fair.

This year’s Fair will kick off on Thursday, Aug. 1 with the 4-H and Open Class horse show at 10 a.m. Friday morning beginning at 8 a.m. will be the 4-H and Open Class livestock show where swine, sheep, goat, and beef classes will be judged. At 4 p.m., the Sportsman’s Club will host a BB gun shoot for kids at the trap range. The action will continue through Friday evening with the 4-H Round Robin Showmanship Contest and 4-H Awards Ceremony at 6 p.m. Friday evening’s entertainment will feature a performance of “Around the World in 8 Plays” by Jason Pizzarello and Patrick Greene by the always entertaining Parched Prairie Players.
