Prince Louis’ 5th Birthday Photos With Kate Middleton Show Him Growing Up

The youngest of Kate Middleton and Prince William’s three children was born on April 23, and to celebrate, Kensington Palace has released new photographs of the infant on Instagram.

Instead of the Princess of Wales taking the annual pictures like she did in the past, a professional photographer named Millie Pilkington did it this year. This time, she is in one of the pictures herself. It’s a beautiful picture of her pushing Louis on a wheelbarrow while he wears a blue Fair Isle sweater.

“Tomorrow, someone turns 5…” read what was put on Instagram. “We wish Prince Louis a very happy birthday.”

Louis and his family have had a very busy year. Kate and William are now taking Louis to more public events with them. In early April, he made his first public appearance at the royal family’s Easter church service at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. The Waleses wore matching clothes to the service. In December 2022, Louis went with them for the first time on their usual Christmas walk at Sandringham.

The four days of celebration for Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee began in June, when Louis and his brothers, Prince George, 9, and Princess Charlotte, 7, stole the show.

Kate told the crowds at Windsor Castle a few days later what her youngest son had told her about the Queen, who had died a year before her husband Prince Philip: “He’s like, ‘Mummy, don’t worry, she’s now with great-grandpa.’”
