The City of Savannah Recreation and Leisure Services Department will begin renovating five city-owned courts this month. The courts will close to the public on November 27.Impacted spaces include the Forsyth Park basketball courts, Daffin Park tennis courts, Westside Park basketball courts, Kennedy Park tennis courts, and the Cloverdale Park tennis courts. The project has an expected completion date of February, depending on weather impacts. The renovation project, approved by City Council on August 10 and part of the Recreation Re-Imagined Initiative, will ensure the safety of the public by excavating and leveling the surfaces. Additional improvements will include installation of new asphalt, court lines, fencing, goals, and nets.
