Makeup Serums
MAREVGENNA
You know serums from skincare, but now these liquid textures are taking over the cosmetics category. Like their complexion counterparts, foundation, blush, eyeshadow and lip serums have a lightweight feel and a translucent finish that looks fresh and natural. Dot the formula onto skin and blend it in with your fingers, layering as needed for more color impact.

Subtle Eyeliner
Handout
Graphic black eyeliner gets a more wearable twist this season, featuring thin lines close to the lashes. For daytime, try tightlining (gently sketching liner along the waterlines of the upper eyelids), alone or with a neutral eyeshadow. For evening, glide a liquid eyeliner with a fine tip along the upper lashline, flicking it slightly upward at the eyes’ outer corners.

Up the drama of your go-to lash look as makeup artists did on fall runways — with mascaras created to give a fanlike effect. When applying, brush the wand up and outward toward the temples to extend lashes. Extra credit: Add a few false lashes to the outer third of the lashline for more oomph on a night out.

Elevated Blush

To achieve a more lifted, sculpted look, try placing your blush higher on the cheekbones. Seen both on the runway and with everyday makeup, the trend has taken the world by storm. Using a tapered or angled makeup brush or a makeup sponge, sweep blush from temples down to the apples of your cheeks along the tops of cheekbones.
