The Good Girl fragrance makes a statement before it’s even spritzed.
A bestselling collection from Carolina Herrera, the scent is packaged in a striking way — in the shape of a spike-heeled stiletto — that draws initial interest beyond the elixir inside. With several iterations already in the range, the company recently debuted a blooming new scent for spring.

We caught up with Carolina A. Herrera, beauty creative director for the brand and the daughter of namesake founder-designer Carolina Herrera to learn more about the latest release, Good Girl Blush Elixir.
Q: How would you describe the Good Girl fragrance collection?
A: With Good Girl, we aimed to redefine Carolina Herrera’s feminine fragrances to reflect the legacy of the house and the new creative era driven by Wes Gordon. It’s a collection that speaks of duality and self-assurance, inspired by a powerful, proud woman who confidently navigates the world in fabulous stilettos. Olfactively, it reinvents floral notes to be bold and luxurious, with a hint of cheekiness and mischief.
Q: It’s a wildly popular range. Why do you think it resonates so well with fragrance fans?
A: Success is always a phenomenon difficult to reason because it involves intuition and seduction, which are unquantifiable variables. The initial allure of Good Girl undoubtedly lies in its stiletto-shaped bottle. It’s a shoe with an impossible, dizzying heel, somewhat totemic; we’ve invested a lot of time, effort, and research to find the right proportions and perfect materials.

But a bottle alone is just the first step of seduction. If so many women around the world use Good Girl daily, it’s because of its fragrances, which have a unique olfactory footprint. They are intense and sparkling perfumes at the same time, very contemporary, with complex formulas that, nevertheless, are instantly recognizable. Their olfactive chords are seemingly traditional, with flowers, spices, and gourmand touches, but they don’t resemble those of any other perfume. They convey a sense of elegance, sophistication. It’s like the right makeup or the perfect jewel: something that completes a look and gives you more confidence to face any occasion.
Q: How has the fragrance evolved with the new Good Girl Blush Elixir?
A: I believe the name of the perfume is very eloquent. “Blush” evokes makeup and beauty, a sensual and flirtatious femininity, translated into sweet and enveloping, ultraromantic and seductive notes. And “Elixir” illustrates our ambition when it comes to making perfumes: it has a level of concentration and intensity superior to the rest of the collection, making it a very special and elegant perfume, a little gem. With notes of vanilla, rose, and patchouli, it’s a balanced perfume with a touch of excess.

Q: Who is this latest interpretation for?
A: Good Girl Blush Elixir, like all Good Girl fragrances, is aimed at any woman. We don’t like to attach usage instructions to perfumes because we believe fragrances belong to the realm of freedom, limitless expression, and dreams. But it’s true that its intensity and concentrated, powerful notes make it especially suitable for those moments when we don’t want to go unnoticed; an extra dose of self-confidence, perhaps more nocturnal than diurnal.
Q: Lastly, I’m sure it’s like picking a favourite family member, but which is your favourite Good Girl scent and why?
A: Good Girl is one of my most cherished projects as the creative director of fragrances at Herrera Beauty, and I’m in love with each of its creations.
Lately, I’ve been using Good Girl Blush Elixir because I like to test our perfumes in everyday life, push them to the limit, and I’m delighted because it seems to be a super versatile and expressive perfume. But I think the original Good Girl will always have a special place in my heart. I remember perfectly the moment I smelled the final formula and realized that we had created something truly special and distinct.
