The result? A 28-piece collection that is unmistakably Rabanne. Metal goblets take the shape of classic red Solo cups—a staple at any American House party—whereas playing cards come in a sleek silver case along with a matching set of dice. Candleholders come in metallics, and curtains in sequin paillettes. (As does a lamp.) It’s glamorous, it’s futuristic, and it’s also surprisingly functional. “I’m quite a pragmatic designer and I like my clothes to be comfortable and wearable, so that sense of practicality came quite naturally to me,” says Dossena, who makes his first foray into homeware with this collection.
There’s towels and loungewear, too, for those guests who dared a nighttime jump into the pool—all adorned with a “PR” logo, of course. And if one wants to make more of a textile statement, a sea-foam green and black rug comes in a bold geometric print. “The collection is about creating a mood of instinctive, inclusive fun,” Dossena says.
Rabanne H&M Home will be available in stores and online on November 9, along with his clothing collection for H&M. So if you’ve ever dreamed of living in a Rabanne world, mark your calendars.
