Rachel McAdams ‘Finally Hands the Regina George Torch’ to Reneé Rapp

Rachel McAdams was a pleasant surprise on the most recent edition of Saturday Night Live.

The programme, which aired on Saturday, January 20, included Jacob Elordi as the host and Reneé Rapp as the musical guest.

Following the Euphoria actor’s dramatic spiel, McAdams appeared in the frame, surprising both the audience and watchers.

Dressed in a red blazer over a dark magenta top and striking red trousers, the Notebook actress introduced Rapp for her musical performance to a wild roar of applause.

Viewers were in for another surprise when the 24-year-old singer was joined by Megan Thee Stallion, and the two performed Not My Fault from Rapp’s current musical adaption of Mean Girls.

Rapp took up the part of Queen Bee Regina George in the 2024 musical, which McAdams performed in the original adolescent comedy film.

Fans rushed to social media to share their reactions to the cultural crossover. One user wrote on X, formerly Twitter, “OMG! Rachel McAdams just introduced Renee Rapp for her second SNL musical performance.”

“The Reina George torch has officially been passed,” they announced.
