Carlos Alcaraz pumped up

There have been significant fluctuations in the prize money on offer on the two top tours, with the impact of the pandemic still felt.

Here, we will run through the top ten prize money winners from both the ATP Tour and the WTA Tour.

The WTA Tour’s top four players have cracked the list, with six ATP Tour professionals featured.

Statistics are correct as of 23 October 2023.

10 Stefanos Tsitsipas $4,193,802

Stefanos Tsitsipas has won just one title this season to date, with that triumph coming at Los Cabos.

However, he enjoyed a significant payday for his run to the final at the Australian Open.

Tsitsipas remains in the running for the ATP Tour finals, where players can secure sizeable paydays.

9 Andrey Rublev $4,731,576

Andrey Rublev won his first career Masters title in Monaco earlier this season and came within a match of adding a second in Shanghai.

Rublev has played in six championship matches this term and is on the brink of clinching a finals place.

His Monte Carlo Masters title was his second of the season after an earlier win in Bastad.

8 Elena Rybakina 5,097,437

Elena Rybakina’s season may have tailed off dramatically, but her incredible start saw her bank significant sums in Australia and through the Sunshine double.

She is one of eight players to have banked more than $5 million dollars this season.

Rybakina couldn’t add to her Grand Slam title count this season but she has still put in some incredible performances.

7 Jannik Sinner $5,189,328

Another of 2023’s first-time Masters champions, Jannik Sinner, is enjoying a breakout term.

He has nearly doubled his career earnings this season, sweeping to three titles, including his Canadian Open win.

Sinner is one of five men to have notched 50 match wins this season, and he has contested five championship matches.

6 Coco Gauff 5,976,622

Coco Gauff enjoyed a spectacular US Open season that saw her add a maiden Grand Slam to her first Masters title.

She started the season with a breakthrough title in Auckland but really kicked on when the Tour returned to North America.

Gauff has done impressive technical work to improve her game, which has shown itself most on her forehand.

5 Iga Swiatek $6,779,686

It is incredible to think that Iga Swiatek has taken a step down this season when she sits fifth on this list with just one woman above her.

Swiatek was imperious in 2022, and while she hasn’t reached the same heights this season, she is still one of the queens of tennis.

She won her fifth title of the season at the China Open earlier in October and will appear at the WTA Finals in Cancun.

4 Aryna Sabalenka $7,554,653

Two Grand Slam final appearances have seen Sabalenka have her best season yet when it comes to prize money.

While she came up just short in New York, her run in the US Open was enough to see her move to the top of the WTA Rankings for the first time.

Sabalenka looks likely to end the season as the top earner on the WTA Tour.

3 Daniil Medvedev $7,833,244

Only one man has more match wins this season than Daniil Medvedev, who is also joint-second for titles won in 2023.

He has appeared in eight championship matches across the 2023 season, losing out in Beijing, New York and Indian Wells.

Medvedev has already clinched his place in the ATP Tour Finals and is one of just two players with multiple Masters titles in 2023.

2 Carlos Alcaraz $9,603,879

The ATP Tour wins leader is threatening to break through the $10 million in prize money for the second successive season.

Alcaraz has exceeded expectations for his follow-up season after announcing himself in style last year.

His six titles for the season gives him the lead in championships bagged.

1 Novak Djokovic $10,590,175

Novak Djokovic has put missing the Sunshine Double behind him with an outrageous campaign.

He passed $170 million in career prize money at the French Open and sports a 90% win rate in the 2023 season.

After his run to the final at Wimbledon and US Open title, Djokovic now has $175,281,484 in total career prize money, which means he now has a more than $40 million lead at the top of the all-time stakes.
