Metro Public Relations has a new senior vp of entertainment: Rebecca Rolnick Knaack.
The executive, who will continue to lead the full-service firm’s TV and film division, is now charged with streamlining client experience and campaign management, expanding Metro’s client services and driving continued growth for the department. She will continue to work alongside Metro CEO Laura Michael and founder Tess Finkle to scale client offerings and develop best practices.
“Rebecca is a force of rare talent and determination that we are lucky to have at our company. She continues to be instrumental in building a highly skilled team and helping to grow our roster of TV, film, and streaming clients. Elevating her is a natural step in our evolution and we are honored to be able to continue to invest in her,” offered Finkle and Michael in a joint statement.
Knaack joined Metro in 2017. With a bicoastal team, she works on TV and film publicity campaigns for studios, networks and streamers in both the scripted and unscripted space. The entertainment division also reps media companies, producers, writers and directors, with expertise in steering corporate communications and personal brand messaging, among other offerings. Her team also works in content strategy, experiential activations, awards and festival strategies, and influencer marketing.
Clients include Disney, ABC, Lionsgate, World of Wonder, MTV and the Emmy award-winning RuPaul’s Drag Race global franchise, Hartbeat, Blake Griffin and Ryan Kalil’s Mortal Media, and longtime producer clients Dan Harmon, Marta Kauffman, and Yeardley Smith’s Paperclip Ltd, among others.
Prior to Metro, Rebecca spent four years in PMK*BNC’s TV department. She launched her entertainment career as an assistant at Gersh.
