REE Automotive said its initial order book value has doubled in the past two months amid growing demand for its electric trucks from dealers around North America.
The automotive technology company and provider of fully by-wire electric trucks and platforms on Wednesday said its initial order book value has risen to $40 million since August following a recent binding order by Midwest Transit Equipment.
Midwest Transit Equipment is entering the commercial electric truck market through REE Automotive’s P7-C trucks.
REE continues to make progress on certifying its P7 electric truck lineup and is close to delivering its first vehicles in the U.S. market, the company said.
