Reese Witherspoon Makes Her Public Debut After Her Split from Jim Toth

On Thursday, April 13, Reese Witherspoon made her first public appearance since announcing her separation from husband Jim Toth last month, and she certainly made an impression.

According to People magazine, Reese Witherspoon was all smiles as she graced the red carpet for the premiere of The Last Thing He Told Me, an Apple TV+ miniseries, despite her recent divorce from Toth.

The host of the Morning Show wore a black dress with lace cutouts and one shoulder for the event. She wore it with black pumps and studded hoops to finish off her look.

Fans of Witherspoon were surprised by her appearance because, on March 24, she told them that she and Toth had broken up. Their 12-year marriage officially ended on March 30, when they filed for divorce.

When asked about their split, Witherspoon and Toth said in a joint statement, “It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness, and mutual respect for everything we have created together.”

People also heard from sources close to the couple that they are still “the best of friends.” They said, “This is such a friendly decision. They really want to raise their kids together. They care about their whole family and are trying to make things as easy as possible for everyone.

Witherspoon’s red carpet appearance for The Last Thing He Told Me is the latest project between her Hello Sunshine media company and Apple TV+, following the success of The Morning Show.
