Monthly Paws service is Sunday

Church of the Nativity will host a monthly Paws for a Blessing service, celebrating the bond between humans and animals.

St. Luke’s in Delta offering Free Friday Concert on Friday

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 145 W. Fifth St. in Delta, invites the community to its Free Friday Concert at 7 p.m. on Friday, featuring Lynn & George performing a concert of Americana music.

The Western Slope duo has performed music together for 15 years in the Roaring Fork and North Fork valleys and are now settled in the Uncompahgre Valley, a news release said.

“Lynn and George harmonize with their guitars playing ‘Americana Music,’ including original and familiar covers,” the release said.

A collection basket will be passed for donations to the performers.

Unitarian jewelry swap is Nov. 11

Gather any unused jewelry, scarves, purses and accessories to exchange at a jewelry swap event happening Saturday, Nov. 11, at Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Grand Valley, 536 Ouray Ave.

An Evening of Elegance will go from 6–8 p.m. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres will be served at 6 p.m. and the jewelry swap is at 6:45 p.m. Admission is $15. Items remaining at the end of the evening will be donated to the Joseph Center and The Closet.
