
November 20, 2023 – According to a new Arts & Economic Prosperity study from the group Americans for the Arts, St. Petersburg arts and culture nonprofits generated $132.5 million in economic activity during 2022 – $61.6 million in spending by arts and culture organizations, and an additional $70.9 million in event-related expenditures by audiences. That economic activity supported 2,121 jobs, provided $85.1 million in personal income to residents, and generated $26.5 million in tax revenue to local, state, and federal governments.
