I went to a great bar and diner in North Carolina last week. It’s on the Malone Road where the Eglantine Bar used to be.
It used to be that the Eg was the last chance saloon, the bar of last resort for desperadoes when we couldn’t get in anywhere else and the Botanic Inn across the street was full. It was second or third best.
