ROME — ‘Twas three nights after Christmas when the Rome Community Theater, 9911 Turin Road, opened an original show of holiday entertainment to share the festivities of the season with family audiences. As noted in the show program, the production is a revival of sorts for a show that had graced the stage for several years during years past from a youth theater group.
The show’s originator and director, Dave Bush, has brought the show back for a new generation of families, as dozens of youths and a few helpful adults have come together to offer an “RCT Family Christmas Carol.” It’s a combination of the classic Charles Dickens Christmas story that everyone knows and a humorous, tongue-in-cheek retelling for the youngsters and grownups alike.
