Riley Keough Recounts Lily Gladstone’s Tearful Cannes Film Festival Moment

Riley Keough supported Under the Bridge co-star Lily Gladstone when she reached a big goal at the Cannes Film Festival.

According to Variety, Gladstone’s movie Killers of the Flower Moon opened on May 20, 2023, to the “biggest” standing applause for 9 minutes at the event.

The 3-hour-and-26-minute movie is directed by Martin Scorsese and stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, and the 36-year-old actor.

The Daisy Jones & the Six actor, who is 33 years old, posted a clip of Gladstone from Rutherford Falls director Sierra Teller Ornelas’s carousel on her Instagram Stories.

In the video clip, Gladstone seems to get upset as the movie’s fans continue to applaud.

Ornelas wrote in the original description, “Just stealing pics from Cannes and losing my mind over how amazing this is. All the flowers to @lilygladstone @cara.jade.myers @janaedawnnn @tatankameans @tantoocardinal.”

She also said, “You worked so f—ing hard and waited so God Damn long for this moment.”

Killers of the Flower Moon is a film based on the best-selling book by David Grann and adapted by Eric Roth and Martin Scorsese. It takes place in Oklahoma in the 1920s and tells the story of the cruel murders of the oil-rich Osage Nation members, which became known as the Reign of Terror.

Even though the movie was long and started 45 minutes late, the crowd was so interested in it that they stood up and applauded for nine minutes.

Under the Bridge, a limited series on Hulu that Riley Keough is executive producing is also being made. It will be adapted from Rebecca Godfrey’s book, which is based on the true story of Reena Virk, a young girl who disappeared in 1997 after attending a party with friends.
