Riley Keough’s ‘Priority’ Is Daughter After Priscilla Presley Settlement

Riley Keough is now focused on getting over the lawsuit with her grandma, Priscilla Presley, over her mother, Lisa Marie Presley’s estate.

On Tuesday, May 16, 2023, the Daisy Jones & the Six actor, who is 33, and Elvis Presley’s ex-wife, who is 77, settled their case.

“Riley is relieved to have settled the dispute over her mom’s estate.” Someone close to Keough told People Magazine that she doesn’t want her grandma to cause trouble. “She was hoping they could reach a settlement quickly.”

Lisa Marie, who had twins Finley and Harper, who were 14 years old, with her ex-husband Michael Lockwood, died quickly of a heart attack on January 12, 2023. She was 54 years old.

Just two weeks after her sudden death, Priscilla filed a claim to challenge the validity of the 2016 change to her late daughter’s will that put Riley in charge and removed her and business manager Barry Siegel as trustees. The change put Riley in charge and removed Priscilla and Barry Siegel as trustees.

The source also said that Riley is still sad about her mother’s death and that it’s been “very hard” for her. “She wants to focus on making memories with her own daughter now. This is her priority,” the person said.

Riley and her husband, Ben Smith-Petersen, have a girl who was born in secret in 2022.

In March, a source told Entertainment Tonight that “family drama” is the “last thing Riley wants to deal with” and that she is “deeply upset at how things are going.”

But now that the deal is over, Riley is “very happy” and “content,” according to a statement from her lawyer, Justin Gold.

The lawyers have until June 14 to file the settlement terms and intend to file a motion to seal those terms as well. On August 4th, the judge will likely issue a ruling on that motion.
