Tom Hanks’ wife, Rita Wilson, has told what happened on the red carpet at Cannes and why her husband got mad.

Rita finally spoke out Tuesday about a series of animated pictures of her and her husband taken at the fancy event.

The Oscar winner got a lot of attention on Tuesday when he seemed to lose his temper at the Cannes Film Festival.

The 66-year-old man and his wife were seen getting angry while talking to another man on the carpet. To the normal observer, it looked like things got heated.

Rita posted a picture on social media with the caption, “This is called, “I can’t hear you, people are screaming. What did you say? Where are we supposed to go?”

Rita said, “But that doesn’t sell stories! Nice try. We had a great time! Go see Asteroid City.”
