SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WSBT) — LEGO robotics teams across our region appeared in the first LEGO League Challenge in the Masterpiece season.
Spectators had the chance to see the Lego Robots in action Saturday night as they attempted to complete missions that showcased their abilities.
The season’s theme centered around the arts.
It challenged teams to envision and develop innovative ways to create and communicate art globally.
E3 Robotics Center Executive Director Brian Boehler said, “Were inspiring these kids as far as critical thinking skills and going through an engineer design process and identifying problems and being able to go through that process of how to solve those problems in an innovative way that is going to create a positive impact and positive change.”
The coaches say students focus on core values and helping out other teams, while also learning critical thinking skills they will have for the rest of their lives.
